Reuse your favorite vessels and containers to create brand new candles.
By Misty Milioto
Now that we are all spending way too much time at home, and finding all kinds of projects to keep ourselves busy, these nifty DIY candle kits from Siblings are just the right thing to spruce up our space. And if you’re anything like me, you’ve turned your bathroom into a virtual spa. Even if not, it’s always nice to create a calming oasis in your home—even if it means lighting a candle while working.

The DIY candle kits come in nine lovely scents: Scent No. 01 – Bergamot, Whit Rose, Oakmoss; Scent No. 02 – Lemon, Gardenia, Musk; Scent No. 03 – Cucumber, Jasmine, Fresh Greens; Scent No. 04 – Eucalyptus, Evergreen, Berries; Scent No. 05 – Clove, Lavender, Cedarwood; Scent No. 06 – Cardamom, Sandalwood, Vanilla; Scent No. 07 – Grapefruit, Acai Berry, Balsam; Scent No. 08 – Peony, Honeysuckle, Amber; and Summer Scent – Lime Zest, Coconut, Driftwood. There also is a scent-free version that’s perfect for lighting during dinner (so the scent doesn’t interfere with the aroma of the food).

Most candles are mass-produced using paraffin—a byproduct of petroleum—and they are sold in containers that are often never reused or recycled. The best part about the Siblings’ kits is that they are made from eco-friendly materials (plant-based packaging, natural coconut blend wax and lead-free cotton wicks), while encouraging the reuse of your favorite vessels and jars. Simply microwave the bag of wax; pour into your favorite container; and add in the wick. Bath time, here I come! $22 each, https://siblings.co
